U. S. Soccer Federation Appoints Ken Gulmi

 

This week the U. S. Soccer Federation's Board of Directors approved the appointment of Ken Gulmi, President of East Hudson Youth Soccer League, to its' Disability Soccer Committee.

 

The Disability Committee promotes the development of soccer for players with disabilities throughout the United States. It oversees activities and events of disabled soccer organizations, advocates the needs of these organizations to the U.S. Soccer Federation, educates the U. S. soccer community about soccer for players with disabilities, develops strategies to identify new players for these programs and generates new sources of revenues to support these organizations.

 

Gulmi, a member of East Hudson for over twenty five years, has served in various club and league board positions and has been President of East Hudson from 1990 to 2000 and from 2002 until the present. He was elected to the East Hudson Youth Soccer Hall of Fame in 1999 and to the Eastern New York State Soccer Hall of Fame in 2004. He currently coaches in the Yorktown Youth Soccer Club
